Oh hell yes, I’m a big fan of this series and c an’t wait to watch this one. If you have the time, watch the GTO engine rebuild.

How much does a Demon engine weigh? Compared to the “legendary” 2JZ-GTE? Can’t decide which one to swap into my Honda Fit.

that seems like a thin timing chain to have on that kind of horsepower...

I love this Redline Rebuild series, but upon seeing that there’s a Dodge Demon video , my first thought was “wait, WHY is there a Demon already in need of a rebuild?” Eh, living it’s best life, I guess...
But nope! According to this link from the video description, “Dodge sent the engine in pieces”. Which could be interpreted as a broken engine plus necessary parts for a rebuild, or it could mean all new parts. If it’s the latter like I think it is, then this is more of a “build” than a REbuild.

Kinda does, doesn’t it? An extreme effort to save weight, perhaps?

This begs the question, why hasn’t the Big 3 done a turbo version yet of their V8s? I understand that there is a preference of SC to Turbo due to lag and so on but everyone is awe struck by the Hellcat’s and Demon’s power . There are guys pulling junk yard motors s lapping turbos on and hitting 1000hp .
Reliability? Emissions ? Less expensive to mass produce?

Emissions and repeatability in testing. High strung turbo motors are not fun to drive on the street. I hear ya tho I was hoping Ford would make the leap with the GT 500 but nope.
